Smiles in Mommy's Sweater

Grace is always happy-even in the mornings. (you can tell by her eyes) I love how she smiles and laughs all the time. It makes my heart melt. She is wearing my sweater from when I was a little lady-I think it looks so cute on her. I love this lady so much!

Loves Sticks and Walking

Grace loves sticks. If she can grab one, she does. She likes two if possible, one for each hand.

What a little love! I love that smile and those cute crossed legs. Oh Stilly girl!She also thinks she is a big walker and loves doing it. If you pick her up she crys until you distract her with something else. She kills me.

Benefit Dinner

Last night we went to a benefit dinner for CCA (Children's Craniofacial Association). It was a lot of fun. Grace got to meet new friends (Lilly on the left is who the benefit dinner was named for, Hope in the middle, we also met Haley that is Grace's age). All of the little ladies got special recognition at the dinner. It is really hard because we almost felt a little guilty and we did feel very lucky that Grace only has the small complications that she has. It makes us feel very blessed. A lot of people even at this dinner couldn't quite figure out why Grace was being recognized. We had a wonderful and masterful surgeon as well. (Who invited us to the benefit and we got to see-Thanks Dr. Morales)There was a silent auction and Grace wanted this bear so bad, so we bid on it and won. I guess Lilly had picked out the colors which makes it very cool. Grace just loves it!We also bid on and won this print, which we love (it may be a gift because we know people who may love it more-can't decide-it even says Grace Company on it) It comse with quite a tale, as we were leaving with it some lady came up to tell us she had actually won it (which she didn't) So Art told her what we had bid, she had bid less so she accused us of going up after the voting to change our number and cheating-some people are you kidding me, this is a benefit dinner-they made more money out of us-quite funny though. She was mad. We still had a great night for a great cause.

Mimi and Grandma Great Taylor, Magna Arts Festival

Grace loved having MiMi here. She didn't want to crawl to her, but she would try. (she would rather cry and whine and hope someone came and got her)

Grace goes to my Aunt Rhea's house one hour once a week, and she loves this baby that Rhea has. (it is actually Nellie's but my mom made it so Rhea gets it out. Grace likes going there a lot.

She got to see Grandma Great too. It was really fun! We then went down to the Magna Arts Festival. It was okay-not as much as we hoped for. I got some fish and chips that I heard were going to be fantastic-and they werent. Oh well it is was a good family afternoon out. We don't get enough of those.

How Old are You?

We have been working on getting Grace to say she is one. She kills me. It is a lot of fun for her (probably because we all laugh and cheer)It is also something she is very serious about. We went to lunch with MiMi today (which Grace loved because MiMi had her today instead of DayCare-She practiced a lot!)

Practicing in Action!

Grace has also been working on her ornery scowl. I keep trying to catch it on camera but she always turns away or stops, so this is as good as I can get so far. Little Drama Queen (love it!) Doesn't it just make you think that in her little head she is wondering "why doesn't this ridiculous person understand what I am saying and give me what I want? idiots! or Why would they do that or think I want to?"...

Where's Grace...

Grace loves playing Peek a Boo Hide and Seek. We even have a song we sing. I thought these were really cute pictures of her peeking out...

I think she was hiding so she didn't have to go to daycare. Today was her first official day. She actually had a really good time though and did very well. Love my little girl! (Christy and Narisa take care of her-she likes them a lot)

MiMi and Grandpa Matt brought Grace a Kitty today. She loves it! She is such an animal lover. She just wanted to hug it and love it! The kitty has been very good with her (so far)

Butterflies Have Arrived

The Butterfly's have "hatched" A little early. We hope they are still alive for the birthday party. Grace thinks they are really neat.

I had to clean the net (it was kind of gross) but pretty cool! I hope they live long enough....
