Our Furry Friend

This little monster has been coming around our house for the past month.   The past few nights he has been terrorizing our garage.  He was the subject of most of our spooky Halloween stories that we told back and forth with Grace and we are so thankful to have finally caught him.

It was not awesome and we have to clean our entire garage (by we, I mean Art.)
He was  not a friendly Racoon.
Grace wanted to see him go to his family, so we drove out of town and let him go.
We were told he may chase you when he comes out, so Art did the drop and ran-The Racoon didn't chase him, when he finally dumped it out, it headed for the hills.
To his family-I am sure.  Either way, away from here.  Go Art!  Grace was so proud, she kept cheering for him!

More Fun

We have been having some fun at our house. I love being home with Grace.  We had some friends over to play (Leah and Grant) for a couple of hours.

We spent some final time on the tramp, before it is put away for the winter.

And Grace put on my socks and shoes and jumped on the treadmill for a go.  She makes me laugh so hard. We are both trying to walk our baby out!

A Night Out

I know I won't be feeling up to going out for a while, so we decided to have one last night out for a while. We went to El Habanero for Carnitas for Dinner.  They are amazing.
Grace being a vampire with her chips-silly girl.
My two favorite people! Just waiting for one more.  We had a good night out. I love my family and just feel so blessed!

38 Weeks

We are 38 weeks and very ready for our little boy to come.  Fully engaged/effaced and dilated to a 2.5.  Just waiting on contractions. He has done his part, now it is time for me to do mine.  (Sorry if TMI, I just wished I would have recorded more of this information with Grace)

I asked Grace to just take some pictures alone and this is what I got-silly lady.

Girl Time

Last night Grace decided to put a cup on her mouth and chin and suck so hard that she ended up with a bruised hickie and swollen lips.  I have been telling her not to do this for days, but she snuck it by me.  One of my prouder moments I can assure you.  Silly how even today I had to tell her to stop this, wonder if we are going to have an issue.
We did go out for a little Girl fun time.  We went to the indoor park at the rec center, where she played in the kitchen.
Up in the tubes and slides.
And we even made a "dog house" big enough for her.

She was the only one there most of the time, so it was awesome. Three kids came in is all. She played with one little girl for a minute, but other than that, she had her own space and time.  We had a great day.  We came back home for some Chocolate Ice Cream! Love this little girl!

Big Snow

We had our first big snow storm this week.  Grace was so excited.  She couldn't wait to get out in it.  We had to grab her some snowboots, which ended up a big trip where a fuse on my van kept blowing, we have to have short in a wire somewhere, still working on figuring it out, but we made it home and she got to run in the snow and was so happy.
It was too wet to pack very well, but her Dad took her out anyway and they had a good time.  We probably got between 7-8 inches.  The only reason I was excited this year for snow was because I knew that meant brother would be here soon. Now it's here-can't wait for him.

As We Wait

As we are anxiously awaiting Brother's arrival, we have been trying to to have a good time.  Grace has been playing peek a boo with the baby, giving lots of hugs and kisses, and talking to him everyday.  She can't wait to meet him and tells him to come out every day.

I also let her dress herself before our walk the other day and this is what we came up with.  This girl just melts my heart. I love her personality, her confidence and her amazing spirit.

As for me, I have been feeling a little under the weather.  Art and Grace have been great tenders, but I am getting really anxious for the little boy to get here. I have felt pretty sick and have had some nausea for the past couple of days.  At my last appointment I was only dilated at 1.5 and 60% effaced, so we have a way to go, but he sure feels like he is more ready than that, so maybe soon. They did schedule to start me on the 21st if he hasn't yet arrived.  We shall see.
