The little ladies helped me make cupcakes for the halloween party. Pete read books to the kids. Grace drank her "coffee" (I found her a cup to look kind of like mine so she won't keep asking and I can give her chocolate milk in it) Kolt! Miah ReadingThen to the big park we went. It is in West Jordan and it is really cool. There are castles and dungeons and everything. The older kids were off playing so I didn't get very good pictures. Lonni, Trudy, and Jamie with their kids met us there.
Grace wanted to have a halloween party so bad this year. So we did and it was so much fun. Grace wanted to be Elmo, so we got her an Elmo costume, then she said Barbie, so we found her a Barbie dress, well when the night came, she said Butterfly, so we said okay. Toadie painted her face and when I went to put on wings she refused and said she was done. So here is the butterfly Grace at her halloween party. We made fun punch. Just as everyone got there, Grace tipped the entire cauldron over and everyone had to help clean up. It was a huge mess. Luckily she didn't get hit with the dry ice. All the kids with their happy meals. Kayla and Natalie Aunt Pete (a flying dragon because Miles wanted her to be that) and Leah the duck. Kolt the Zombie and Miah Dorothy (Toadie was Cleopatra)Miles as a sock Monkey. We did a really cool spook alley downstairs. The kids loved it. We had them dig for prizes in blankets and pillows. They got cool halloween prizes in all of the rooms. We even did a prize hunt outside. Grace got her Dance party that she wanted. And finally let me put a robe on her (which led to her being called mini hef for the rest of the night So cute! We made blood suckers out of chocolate, fingers out of cheese, vampire mouths out of apples, green pudding with dirt and worms, and spiders with hotdogs and spaghetti. It was really fun! This is for sure an annual tradition.
We are working on teaching Grace her full name. Even when I say, "you name is Grace Boxall" she will tell me "no" She is "Pie Box"! I love her little attitude.
We stayed at the Little America the other night with Papa and Mamo Box. Our favorite place! We went swimming. We snuck out to a birthday party. Brooklyn turned 2. It was a costume affair. Other fun things. Grace blowing balloons with Auntie Sue at work.
And dressing silly at home! What a fun little lady!
Uncle Lon wanted to take Grace with the grandkids to go and get pumpkins. Grace was so excited. She had more fun just in the wagon and hanging out with Lon, but he picked her some cute pumpkins. The only pumpkin she did pick was this old little green/yellow rotten one. This is her (don't touch my pumpkin face) Only Pie!!
We went to see the CARS the other day the Energy Solutions Arena. It was fun. The kids got to see all of them and get pictures taken. They played games. We had a good time.
Grace painted this picture of Daddy, Mommy and Pie. Daddy is the big swoop on the left. Mommy is the little swoop on the right bottom, and pie is the green swipe on the top right. It is so cute we framed it and it is in our hall. Grace loves for me to sing at night, but sometimes I get tired. Singing CD's don't work. It has to be mommy. Not that I am a huge fan of my voice, but Pie really really loves it, so I found this teddy bear that you can plug shuffle into. I recorded some Lullabye's for her and play them at night. She loves the bear-and it works. See the love!! It makes me happy to see her enjoy it. She says it is her Mommy bear. One of the songs is a little fairtale song I wrote for her, that she loves to very much. I had created a video that she really loves to watch (over and over again). She calls it the princess pie video.
We have been to so many birthday parties lately. Kathryn and Kelsy turned 1. Grace picked out these babies for them. When they opened them, she wanted them back. She actually got into the bounce house, but as soon as other kids got in, she got hit and had to get out. Then we went to a bowling party for Natalie. Kolt had a birthday too and we called him and sang to him. Now anything with bright colors is a party, so each night in the tub she stacks these blocks and says Party-sometimes sings, and sometimes says Happy Birthday Kolt-Leah (who has a birthday tomorrow) (or other names) Then she will even put it on her head as a hat. She is so funny!
