Police Officer Dad

Art got his full time police officer position offering today.  He will start on June 30. We are so very excited and so proud of him!
His letter from the department: official offer!
And our card, because we are just so proud!

It was quite a process.  He had to interview and then do a 20 minute presentation on leash laws here in Park City.  He interviewed officers, the city manager, and people at the park to create a video.  He then did a powerpoint talking about cases in news, stats, research of other communities, and offered suggestions here.  It was a challenge, but he nailed it (which he usually does).  We are so excited for him and for all the great things to come!  Way to go Art!

Story Time at Library

We went to the Park City Library for story time today.  We also tried to check out some books, however, we couldn't get a card using only our PO box here.  I guess they must have a problem with people coming here, getting PO boxes, and then stealing books, Who knew?!?  It was fun thought. Grace loved it and had a lot of fun!

 See this delighted face!

Walker even paid attention, until he fell asleep! He loves books too!

Then they got to do a coloring craft!
It was dinosaur day so she colored a brontosaurus.

Then we played on the computers for a while.  It was a good day out of the house!

Six Months

My little man is six months old. I can hardly stand how fast time has gone.  He is growing so fast and just getting to be so funny.
  • He Rolls Both Ways
  • He talks and blows bubbles and spits out his tongue all the time. In the morning when he wants to get up, I know he is ready because he starts making raspberry noises and kicking his legs.  Lately around 5:30 AM
  • He laughs all the time
  • He loves watching his sister and laughing at her
  • He loves to play with toys. I was holding him the other day on my lap.  Art and Grace were sitting on the floor playing princesses.  He started arching and scooting his butt so I sat him down there and he got right in the middle of the castle with his head and started grabbing the princesses.  Totally took over!
  • He grabs everything: cups plates, whatever I am holding
  • He sits okay by himself, but topples to the front often.
  • He is currently teething
  • He has the very best smile. It goes all the way to his eyes.
  • He is so expressive and even has the raising of his eyebrows down
  • He pulls his socks off all the time.  Holds onto the toe and then kicks and kicks and kicks.  It cracks me up!
  • He loves laying on his back on my legs and pushing back so his head hangs down
He is simply amazing and I am so blessed he is mine!  I love you Walker! aka Bubsy aka Chief Walk Talk

Thirty-One (What???)

It's my birthday.  Yep-I am Thirty-One today.  Crazy.  So far it has been a very quiet day but I have been able to spend it with my family.  Grace loves birthdays so she was super excited.

Isn't this beautiful for our new house (yes the girl too!).
Art and Grace made me fajitas and rice for dinner. It was delicious!

(I kept trying to get a picture with my food and the kids but Walker kept grabbing the plate. I love Grace's face)
Me and my kiddos

Grace drew this picture for me.  It says whatever she wants it to say at the time.  It says Happy Birthday but then I asked again and it says I love her and she loves me.  Basically it just says good things!

Then they sang and I got to blow out the candles and eat ice cream.  I also had to say "This is the Best Birthday Ever" because Grace told me to.  but it was pretty great!  So thankful for my family!

On another note....Grace has been doing some painting.  She did this with Water Color.  I think she is pretty talented.

Walker Speaks!

The little stinker spoke-and what does he say?  "dada"  Not sure he knows the long term ramifications of this.  I know all the things about "its easier to say" blah blah blah.  Maybe he doesn't know exactly what he is saying ,but he loves his daddy and that's pretty cool too! What's not to love?!?  (Love these men in my life)  Good job Walker, but you better get Ma Ma pretty quick.  Love you little man!
(they look a lot alike don't they)

Memorial Day and Visitors

Papa and Grandma Box came to visit for the weekend.  Grace wasn't feeling well, but wanted so much to go to the candy store, so one afternoon we went down.
The kids loved having them there.
On Memorial Day we sent some flowers to Mimi. We sure miss her a lot around here.

These two kids just make my whole life better.  I feel so blessed they are mine!

Tori's 8th Grade Graduation

We went to Phoenix for Tori's 8th grade graduation.  We stayed in Mesquite on the way down.  The swimming was a lot of fun!

Tori looked so pretty and all grown up.

We went over after the ceremony for dinner to their house.
Tori even played her clarinet for us.
And then Grace had a sleepover. She loved playing with Tori's dolls.

We had to hurry back and it was a lot of driving.  Walker was teething and because he won't take a binkie, he sucked on my finger most of the way.

We did drive through the Hoover Down really quickly. I want to go back when we have more time.

It was a long way, and the first big road trip for Walker, but we had a lot of fun and we are so glad that we got to go!
