Hidden Treasure Chest

Grace played with her first Barbie today-oh how exciting. All thanks to finding a bin in my moms basement. Some really fantastic finds:
Rings from my Great-Grandma Jones and My Grandpa Taylor that I thought had been lost/stolen years ago (brought me to tears when I saw them):

and toys like barbies:
and My Little Ponies
and toys they don't make anymore mini carebears:
mini potato head dolls with many many clothing choices:

mini cabbage patch kids
Only a little polishing/cleaning/detangling needed and they are good to go. Oh how fun for Grace to have these!

Da Da

Grace now says Da Da. (Daddy is so proud) She also refuses to wear socks and shoes, and takes them off whenever she gets a chance-I guess she has a mind of her own. Smart Lady with oh so cute toes!

Off to Market

I have never sold anything that I have ever made, and I was very nervous when I took these in (even though I know Kristen very well), but I will be selling these aprons here (well in her store, not online): http://www.fadedprairie.com/
I always have to add a couple of cute pictures of my little lady who looks a lot like her Daddy when she wakes up! There must be something soothing about blowing bubbles to her. Yesterday on my way home in the car (which is why I didn't record it) She was blowing bubbles, her eyes slowly closed and her head fell to the side, the bubbles got quieter and quieter, but she still kept going until all of the sudden she was asleep. So cute!

Some of Our Favorite People

I got to spend a fun filled night with my two favorite little lady's (Grace and Miah) and one of my two favorite bigger lady's (Amber, Pete you were missed) Amber came up to help me with Grace for a day while I was in a meeting. So we spent a night in a hotel where Grace loved playing with Miah.

We went to dinner at Outback where Grace spent a lot of time blowing bubbles (Her face kills me as she gets really into it)

And Miah ate a sundae in addition to her ribs and had to meet Tucker the Crocodile. (Amber refused to take a picture so I took one anyway)
They went swimming the next day while I was in my meeting and apparently Grace did very well. She loves being with her Aunt Toadie. Miah is into doing her own hair too, so it looks great right here:

Kung Fu Rooster and Sticky Dog Traps

I will never be able to give this story true Justice, but I will try. We went down this weekend and went to visit Noah McDonald's Farm (that is what we call my brother in law, because they having a mini petting zoo at their house-all animals in twos-well until one pig died, but oh not to worry they are in the process of replacing it as we speak). I wanted to show Grace the cows, goats, pigs, chickens, cats, turtle etc etc etc. Miah and Kolt have been talking about this Rooster that does Kung Fu. Apparently it is really mean and in Kolts words "It took me down and stood on my back, then it's eyes turned red and it wouldn't get off" I believe him fully. Kolt and Miah call it their "Worst Enemy". They hate this rooster because it knocks them down all of the time. So anyway I went down to see the animals and Mrs. Noah McDonald pointed out the "Worst Enemy" over on the side. (behind Elessa and Grace is this picture). Miles was very excited to gather the eggs, so we went into to coop to get the eggs. I was standing at the door when out of nowhere something attacked my legs. It pecked me hard, so I quickly took over. The Worst Enemy blocked the exit and Mrs. Noah McDonald, Miles, and aunt Pete were locked inside. So a swing of a fishing poke and a broomstick later, they were able to escape. Needless to say, The Worst Enemey poked his last victim that day. (Thanks Aunt Pete) Lucky it was me and not one of the kids, or it would have been right at eye level. You can see the poke marks on my legs. (okay okay so I need a little sun) They are bruised and bumped up now-stupid Rooster. Miles is still traumatized by the mean scary bird. Grace however, enjoyed her time with the cows and family on the farm.

Miles finally successfuly was able to get the eggs and he was so proud. (He may have clapped with them in his hands and cracked them, but who is counting)

Stella (our dauchsund that looks like a rat) found herself in a sticky mouse trap this weekend. All over her nose, and paws-butter-that is what works to get it out.

Overall we had a great time. Here is Grace telling the story of the Rooster to her Grandma.
Fun Times with Family: Relaxing and reading the menu, and then zonking out.

One More Day...

Oh how quickly time goes.
We had lunch with MiMi the other day where Grace tried Prunes for the first time.

She has been getting extra messy at dinner time, because she is wild. She has started turning on me, no matter what I am doing. I am learning to dress her and put on her lotion backwards now-silly little gal. She is also turning into a bit of a drama queen. She will close her eyes and pretend to cry when I walk away (even like this time, when I just went to get her a third helping of cereal) Look at her beautiful blue eyes. She is such a treasure!
