Happy Thanksgivimg

We went to Boise for Thanksgiving. Grace got to meet her cousins Jackson and Art on her first Thanksgiving. We also went to meet her Great Grandma Walker and uncle KRusty and aunt Karen on our way home. It was so much fun. I am so Thankful this holiday for all of my family and friends. I am Thankful that Grace choose me to be her mom and that she is healthy. I am thankful for my husband and all of his Love and support. I am thankful for Tori and the joy she brings our way. I am so thankful for the rest of my family, for our home, and for employment!

Firsts

Today we had a great day. I took off Grace's Logan's Bow this morning and got to see her cute cheeks again! We have to keep the nose stents in for another two months. Grace is a little rascal though and since the stich has been removed, she would consistently blow them out, which was no fun for either of is to put them back in (most parents give up on them and quit using them, but I am trying really hard to keep them in). So I taped up her nose, and it has worked much better, of course she pulled it out once with her hand, and trys to rub them out on my shoulder, but so far so good. She really is too smart for her own good. Because that was removed though, she got to take her first "big girl" bath.

Also she got to hang out with Aunt Trudy at her first basketball game where the Panthers beat the Pioneers. Go West!

Big Shopper

We went shopping with Aunt Toad yesterday. Grace was such a good girl all day long. She did (of course) poop out of her diaper and I dragged it down her leg as I pulled off her pants. I didn't have an extra outfit (because I can't put things over her head and that is all I had) So she ended up hanging out until we could find her some pants, without any on. Then to top it off, I ran out of wipes. What a "way to go mommy" day! But Grace did great and it was good for a laugh.

Fun Visitors

We have had some fun visitors over the last couple of days. We had a quick visit from MiMi and Great Grandma Taylor (but I forgot my camera). Then Aunt Pete, Uncle Michael and Miles came by for a night. We love having family. Miles didn't cooperate well for pictures, but he is a cutie, and Grace fell asleep with her Auntie. She must have the touch!

Two Month Checkup

We had Grace's two month checkup today. She had to get her shots which I hated, but she hardly cried. She is so tough. She weighed 12 lbs 7 oz (80th percentile) 24.5 in long (94th percentile) and her head was in the 54 percentile. I can't believe how big she is getting so quickly!

Doing Great!

Grace had her follow up appointment at the Doctor today. She is doing great! It looks so good. She gets her pacifier back. She only has one more week with the metal Logan's bow and arm restraints, and two months with the nasal stents (no fun). She is doing great though and is a real trooper!

The Forst Snow

I can't believe how much snow we got yesterday. Grace slept a lot through her first snow storm!

I Love Music!

Grace loves music and singing. She trys to sing along sometimes, and I was able to catch just a little on camera. This is her favorite song and she will sometimes cry if I change to a different one. I even tried once to switch it around to mommy instead and she didn't like that either. I know I don't sing well and have lost my voice on top of it, but she loves it. Just focus on her, she is too cute!

Funny Story

I went to JoAnne's the other day. I have made a much better arm restraint for my little one (because yes I hated the blue braces too-as some of you do in the comments) Her arms are still restrained in the pictures by the way. Anyway I am walking into JoAnne's and realized I left my coupon at home so I am looking in the rack for an ad with a coupon when this lady walks by. She asks me if I would like hers and I said yes that I would, so she hands it to me. Then she asks if she can see my baby (I have her all covered and sealed up in the car seat so she won't get sick) I explain to the lady that I am not lifting the blanket and that I am sorry, swine flu and all. So she looks at me, and takes the coupon back and walks away. Can you believe that?? I died right there. Some people.
Anyway here is the new and improved arm restraint (patent in progress)

She Still Smiles

She is still happy and smiling no matter what. I am so amazed by this little girl. What a lucky mom I am.

Surgery Success

Grace did great in her surgery. Although it was very hard for both baby and mom, she is very tough and is doing very well. She has to wear a metal protector called a logans bow (it looks a little like a headgear) We just have to keep her hands away from her face (with this one is a challenge, she popped out of her arm things within 5 minutes-she is too funny, so we created some new things that are working well) She is just so happy still and doesn't cry or complain. She is awesome. Here is a pic of us leaving the hospital and one from Halloween. She really is doing great (and the surgery looks great)!
