Stuff

Here is cute little Shaye. She makes me laugh. Yesterday she grabbed one of Grace's toys, and her mom watched as she walked over to her bag and tried to put it in. Val laughed and told me, her daughter may be stealing from Grace (although she is too young to know that). Too Funny-she cracks me up.
Uncle Mike came up to visit last night and hung out with Grace. So fun!

Also here are my stiches. You can't see all of the bruising-but it still is a cool war wound!
I have a really big meeting today with the surgeon. I am so nervous and excited at the same time!

No More Nose Stents!

Grace is done with her nose stents. Technically she was supposed to wear them until tomorrow, but she pulled them out, and I went to set them on a shelf, and they fell, and I couldn't find them, so I guess it is meant to be done. (I did find them later-but now, it would be pointless to put them in, as we would be pulling the tape tomorrow and that doesn't feel good!) I am so excited and I think she looks great. She doesn't even know what to do with herself, she can breath so well!! Way to stick with it kiddo (and mommy) It was so hard-but now-no more bloody noses, or tape sores, or stuffed noses-yeah!!!!
Also this is the picture we made before she was born, our baby is much cuter-but I think it is funny to compare! They missed her cheeks!!

Mommy and Baby Biopsy's

So Grace has off and on had some funny bumps on her feet, so I took her into the dermatologist today, and they did a biopsy. We hope to find out in the next week or so, what is causing them. For the next few days, she has a cute new shoe. Poor little lady, I swear she just can't get a break. She is so tough though. They commented on how tough and well behaved she was-good lady!!
While we were there, they decided to take a mole off of my arm. Ouch-18 stiches later (9 on top of 9) here we are. The worst part is it is right in the middle of my right bicep-so we will see how quickly it heals.

Hanging with Mom!

So I really hate Day Care. Grace ended up with an irritation on her face/eye yesterday that she was rubbing, so her face splotched and turned red. (not sure what it was, but as soon as I washed it and her hands it went right away) It made me feel so bad, so today I kept her here in my office. Too much fun!!! Two minutes after I took these pictures, she pooped all up her back. So after a change of clothes and wet wipe bath, here we are. Just love her!!
Also I got an MRI today on my bumb wrist-those things are loud.

Mommy's Angel

When I look at Grace I can't help but think how great she is. I wish I had the outlook on life that she does, and yes I understand her worries are few-she gets fed whenever she is hungry, her bumb changed whenever she needs it, everyone is happy and smiling whenever she is around. She smiles too, and is so happy, she can just change the mood of the room. She wakes up in the morning, and as I am dressing her, she smiles. I put her in her carseat which I know can't be comfortable and she is happy and smiles. I just love this little girl so much! She is the light of my life-I find myself smiling even when I am tired or sad whenever she is around. How lucky I am to be in her presence. Love you Grace-Higher than the moon!!
P.S. Go Colts!!!! On Our Way to the Superbowl!!!

Fun Visitors

Uncle Mike and aunt Marissa came to visit. Grace loved seeing them. They brought her some cute new butterfly earrings. I roped Marissa into playing basketball last night, which we won, even though I couldn't make a freethrow to save my life. Grace loves reading/eating/reading her books. She was reading out loud and smiling. Too cute!

Little Outing

We ventured out for a quick snack this morning at Les Madeleins. We had Kouing Aman-so good! It is a sweet buttery pastry. It goes well with a good cup of Joe! Then there is Pie reading the paper with Daddy!

Flowers from my Honey

I got flowers from my honey today (not the best picture-they are beautiful). It was such a nice surprise: They came with a note that said:

"Thank you for being such an amazing wife and mother. I continue to be amazed at what you can accomplish in life and how much love you have for our family. Love, Art"

New Bling!

Grace got her ears pierced today at the Pediatricians. They only had big gold ones, so she has her bling going on. She cried hard-and it made mommy cry too. She looks good though. Before: Right After while crying hard: and after a while (I can't get both earrings at once, because her cheeks cover them from the front, so we just get one at a time!)

Sooo Beautiful!

My little girl is just so beautiful. We had a follow up appointment today and she is doing very well. Only a couple more weeks of the nasal stents-I can't wait. She is also doing very well sleeping through the night in her crib. She just needs things nice and warm like her mother. I am just the most lucky mom in the world! Love you Grace! Also exciting news: We have a surgeon on board who wants to support our little project-and add to it. I am s0 excited! More to come...

Rolling Away

Grace doesn't like Tummy time very much so I should have guessed her first complete rolls would be away from that even though it is usually the other way-although she has been going from her back to side for a while. Today she rolled from her belly to her back (a couple of times) Go Grace!!! Mommy is so proud! She also loves her kisses from Daddy!

So Big

Grace changes so much everyday. I can't believe how quickly she is growing. In just the last couple of days she is now grabbing and holding her toys (and tasting them a little too) I love getting her cute PJ's, and I seem to have to all the time. These new ones came from Grandma B and I had to get them out because she is getting so tall. They are 9 month. Crazy kid-you grow too fast!

Patent Pending

I am officially Patent Pending as of today. I am so excited I can barely stand it! I feel so "engineerish". What a cool thing for Grace and I to have done together. more to come...

Four Months

I can't believe Grace arrived four months ago. Today was her checkup and she is still doing great. She is now 26 inches which is 96%, she weighs 14 lbs 12 oz in the 75% and her head is 51%. Right now she loves talking and laughing. Her favorite books are Tickely, Prickely, and Oh the Thinks you can Think. I, her mom, is her best friend and favorite person in the world(I have to write that now, because someday it will pass, and I will miss it so much). She loves to smile and can light up any room. She is blowing bubbles, finding her thumb, enjoying a binkie again, reaching for things, and working on the rolling thing (oh and did I mention talking-all the time). It is so much fun. Here she is today telling me something very important. Also here she is with her friend Shaye who likes to try and hold her! Cute Girls!

Finding my Thumb

Grace is finding her thumb. It is cracking me up. She puts her thumb in her mouth, but keeps her fingers straight out in the air. When she is really tired, she sucks on the palm of her hand. Too much! I just love her so!!!

Tired and Fun

Yesterday we played Stansbury in basketball and won. Grace and Dad enjoyed the game. Not sure how she can sleep like that, but she does. It cracks me up. Also yesterday I met with an importer from China. This is a big deal and very exciting for me. More to come...

First Day of Day Care

Today was Grace's first day of day care. It was so hard for me. I have cried a lot, and gone an gotten her a lot too, so she wasn't even there very much. I guess I will ease her (me) into it. She is too cute though. Even though the people are good, and she is in a good place and just downstairs, I hate daycare. I want my baby with me! I am so sorry Grace-I love you!

Tori's heading back

Tori headed back to Phoenix today. What a short trip. She was very good with Grace and Grace likes to laugh and smile at her very much. I had to laugh a little, Tori is very much like her Dad in so many ways: The funny ways: They both like to leave, socks, shoes, and cups all over the house, and neither of them like to make beds. But the best ways: They are both very funny and make me laugh, they really care about the people in their life and would do anything for them, they look a lot alike (I think it is a great thing) , they are very smart, they love talking and playing with Grace, they laugh at the same things, and are both just fantastic people and I am so glad to have them in my life! Tori we will miss you-it is so much better when we get to keep you longer!

First Day of 2010

We had a great first day in 2010. We spent time with family and enjoyed ourselves very much. We were able to see the Blue Moon last night for a few seconds too (which I heard only happens once every 100 years on New Years Eve. ) Grandad Boxall also enjoyed his birthday very much!
