Fun Times

Grace had some other fun times this weekend. Here we are heading to Wayne. She dressed herself. Too cute-and had to take both babies with her. We went to the park with Miles and did lots of swinging (she fell out one time, but was tough and got right back in)

The kids got to ride on the school bus with Papa as he took it back to the yard.

And we got to see a "pairplane" close up. The life flight came to the hospital while we were there (my mom was pretty sick-but is doing better). They even waved out the window at Grace. She thought it was super cool.

Memorial Day!

I watched a movie called "Taking Chance" on Memorial Day. It was such a powerful movie for me and I am just so very thankful to all of those who have and are serving our country providing for the safety and freedom of me and my family.

We went to Wayne County where I went to the cemetary with my Grandpa so Grace could put some flowers out for him. She picked a very cute bunch of Dandelions for both Grandpa Great and Drew. Amber and Leah came with us too. Grace was climbing on the headstone, but Grandma and I decided that Grandpa would probably love the attention so it was okay. She was being very soft.

I couldn't get Grace to take pictures, but they were very cute little ladies! I miss my Grandpa and Drew very much and am greatful to them both for serving our country. Love you!

"Tom Train"

We went to the Thomas the Train Ride (Tom Train as Grace calls him) up in Heber City on Sunday. It was so fun. Grace loved the train ride the very best.

The train car that we rode on was from the late 1800's and was originally a rail car in Philadelphia.
We got lots of pictures and had lots of fun. It was a little chilly outside but we really enjoyed it.

Grace had so much fun!
Except when trying to take a picture with Sir Toppam Hat.
She even loved playing with the train sets. We will for sure go up and do this again. It was a great time.

Birthday!

It was my birthday this weekend. We started out on Thursday with a family dinner at the rimrock. My dad and mary took me to dinner. Both my sisters and their families were there and Josafat even came. It was a lot of fun even though Grace was completely wild. When I got home from Wayne, Art had big dinner plans, but unfortunately I had the flu. We had Cake anyway though (Ice Cream cake-my favorite)

Pie and Dad sang to me. It was too cute.

Then we blew out the candles and dug in. Grace loved the sprinkles the most. Art also got me a really sweet Hammock, but it has been raining so I haven't been able to use it yet. Despite being sick and traveling, It was a really great time.

Playing with Pictures

I have been playing with some pictures of Grace. I love my new software.-All Things Girl.

Being at home and Traumatic Times

I have gotten to stay home with Grace this week. We have had so much fun being together. I think this picture is just so her. Her orange boots with Elmo outfit and her wagon. And more silly times.

Grace had to have a quick procedure done today. She had a and Ultrasound and a VCUG test because she had a urinary tract infection so they just wanted to make sure all is right. Everything turned out well, but it was very traumatic. This is her on sedation. She was very funny and would laugh at nothing, until people would try to touch her and then she would freak out and cry. Needless to say it was really good she was sedated, because I can't image the fits, if she wouldn't have been. She was still kicking her legs and screaming. It was very traumatic and hard. My aunt Trudy went with me (Thank you) because Art was in California for work. I can't blame Grace for hating all things doctors after all she has been through. It was a really tough day. The sedation ended up making her wired so instead of sleeping she just went crazy. I wish we wouldn't have had to do this, but I guess it is always best to make sure things are okay. I guess if they wouldn't have been and I would have decided not to, I would have been very angry at myself. I am just so happy that all is well. I love her too much.
This is her baby she got and decorated while she was there. She is an excellent colorer...

CO2 Scare

We went to a wedding on Saturday. Grace looked really cute so I wanted to share the picture. She loves the hawaiian dress. Sunday morning we woke up to a CO2 alarm going off downstairs. So we called uncle Lon and then Grace and I spent some time at the store. The Gas company came out. It turns out we had a very small (not harmful amount of CO2) leaking from our furnace vent. We didn't know what it could have been because our furnace and water heater are both fairly new, but I guess sometimes there is just enough or a space that we were getting a little into the air. The gas man said it just built up and "stuck" to the sensor over time causing it to go off. We fixed it and are good to go-but we were very thankful we had the sensors even though when I put them up I thought, "we won't need these, but we have Grace now-so just in case".

Then adding to the CO2 with some extra smoke, Grace helped dad cook chicken on the charcoal. she is adding some spices here. It turned out very good.

Weekend Fun

We went to Outback for dinner on Friday night. Grace mostly liked the chocolate brownie. She started Saturday out right (I know the picture isn't the best but as soon as I took it, she dropped her Sesame Street Friends). Going potty first thing in the morning with her friends.

Grace and I went to the Library Open house that afternoon.

Grace had so much fun.

They had people reading books to the kids (see "jack sparrow" in the background reading a pirate book.)

The princess hat didn't last long before the stickers found their way to her face.

Aloha!

Sue just got back from Hawaii. She brought Grace this cute little dress. Grace loved it, thought it was pretty, and refused to take it off. It's blue because Grace loves Blue. I think it is so sweet of Sue. She looks so cute in it!She also brought here this pretty flower for her hair. Grace hanging out watching Dora-no care in the world. She cracks me up!

Sleeping Habits

Grace slept in her big girl bed all night last night. I was so proud!
Of course she cried and fought going to sleep so she had to "fall" to sleep in my bed.
Then she acted like a teenager when I tried to get her up in the morning, yelling, pulling the blanket over her head, telling me no, asking for her bed when I picked her up-you know that kind of thing. She really is such a joy and I love her so much!

Beds and Hats

We got Grace a new bed. She is starting to grow out of her crib. She loved it!Although she decided not to sleep in it last night. She got up and played so we had to put her in her crib. Hopefully soon.

She looks so cute in this hat my mom made for her. She had to wear it today. She liked playing peek a boo.
