Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend we went to Palisade State Park Camping. Of course it rained most of the time, but we really did have a great time.
Amber and Alayna rented a boat for the weekend. I am really not sure who they considered the responsible one to rent it (just kidding Amber), but it was funny and Alayna loved it. The best part was, they then came over to shore and made Kyle go with them. They all got their shoes wet and Kyle lost his pole in the lake. Rough little ride!

We all went Golfing. Amber has a broken foot as you can see by the boot, so she hung out in the cart and made comments the entire time. It was pretty funny. We had a great time! Elessa swinging!

Me Golfing (You would think the belly would help me bring things around, but for some reason, I still suck, but what a beautiful view!)

Art Golfing!

The Golf Course was so beautiful. It had the best views of any I have been to yet. It was finally sunny just long enough for us to Golf!

I wonder why in pictures, the big girl always ends up in the front? I pretty much am covering my sisters.

We did a lot of fishing. Art caught the first fish early in the morning on Saturday. I fished all day Saturday and into Sunday. I was so frustrated that everyone was catching fish but me. Kyle kept catching one after another so I grabbed this quick picture, and then I yelled at him in anger (just kidding-but I was really jealous)

I even woke up at 6:30 in the morning, just hoping to catch a fish before golfing, but no luck. Finally that afternoon I caught a fish. Everyone was laughing at me as I danced around and was so excited. Miles thought it felt pretty cool. I think he is going to grow up to be a fisherman someday. (I fly fished quite a bit, but didn't catch one on a fly rod, I caught this with a worm) I know It is huge! Prize winner here!Uncle Art and Miles were boxing. Miles wasn't feeling too well this weekend, but he tried really hard to have a good time.

Our new Trailer really made camping more fun (because of the rain and wind). We had some great meals from the dutch oven, played cards, and just enjoyed out time.

Miles is so funny. This is how he crawls. He really wants to skip the whole crawling thing and just go to walking, but hasn't yet figured it out. So he crawls on his hands and feet. He had a nice little bath while we were there and started to feel better. He cracks me up!We had a great weekend. It was so fun hanging out with the family, fishing, golfing and spending time in our tralier. Art and I can't wait to go camping again.

Mid-Night Dancing!

So I am so tired today. My little Grace Girl decided to put on a production last night of dancing (I am certain of it) all night long! These movements started out in previous months feeling like an eye twitch and then a stronger muscle spasm which I could totally sleep through, but now-oh no. She is really getting these moves down, and the worst thing is, it tickles (Now I don't know if that is normal or not, but I am very ticklish). It feels like someone is poking me in the side, and I want to jump away before I giggle, but really, how do I get away from this, so I just lay in bed, laugh a little, and tell her that her dance moves are great-just like her moms. As tired as I am, I just can't wait to meet this little girl! I think this cute little picture of her legs are fitting for this post.

Such A Lovely Weekend

I have to say that I loved the weather this weekend. It was so nice! I spent as much time as possible outside. On Saturday We went golfing and to hang out with our friend Todd for his birthday. Although this picture is crap this is Todd singing Karaoke. We had a great time. The weather was perfect for golfing and we were able to hang out on the patio at the club for a few hours that evening.
On Sunday We ran a few errands, Art planted over 200 flowers the last couple of days, and I spent plenty of time in my swimming suit in the chair in the back yard reading (yes I know it is a lovely site watching the pregnant woman change from side to side). But it was lovely and I enjoyed myself greatly. I hope everyone else got a chance to go out and enjoy the weather!

A couple of days!

So I have been away from my computer for a couple of days. This week I spent time down at UVU during summer university. I got to spend my time, gardening, fly fishing, and dutch oven cookings. It was a great couple of days. I also got to see this little man for the first time (I know I am a bad cousin) This is Nancy's little boy Wilkes. Isn't he a cutie!
On Wednesday night Art played in a chipping competition at the club and won! I am so proud of him. He had to put the ball through the V of a tree for the final shot and put it within three feet of the pin. It was awesome! It was really cold that night, but still fun. We are going to be golfing tomorrow for our friends birthday and I am excited for the get together. Everyone have a great couple of days!

Mothers Day Weekend!

So the weekend began with the race for the cure on Saturday. It was a fun time. For some strange reason I thought it started at 9, but it really started at 8:30, but hey people were still starting when I got there so it worked out okay. I really like participating in these kinds of events. They are so much fun. Art came and supported me as I slowly jogged to the finish line!

Then Art and I drove to Sun Valley for a night. We met his parents there. It was a lot of fun. We just relaxed and went to dinner. I really wanted to go swimming but the water was too hot so I couldn't get in. (It is an outdoor pool that they keep heated year round)

We saw this sign and thought it was funny, so I poked my belly out there by the Grace Organics. The bartista looks a little creepy in the background, he was probably annoyed. Kyle Petty was staying at the lodge, so Art and I tracked him down to get a picture. He was doing a charity ride (his 15th annual) for kids charities. It was pretty cool. In case you are wondering who he is he is a Nascar driver and son of Richard Petty who is one of the all time greats!
Art and I always take a picture at this spot when we go. This is where he proposed. It is so pretty! Love you Art! It was a great mothers day weekend and Art spoiled me. (as usual)

Happy Mothers Day!

I just wanted to put a special thanks and I love you, out to the mothers in my Life. On becomming a mother, I am very nervous to do things right, but I have great examples and great support system so I am very lucky!

Mom-Don't know what I would do without you. From Dancing in the Kitchen to Midnight Cereal, we definitely have some wonderful memories and I love you. Thanks for always being there for me!

Mary-I am pretty sure when you married my dad it was for me too! I don't know what I would do without you, you support, your advice, and your love. I love you!

Donna-Thanks for being so great and making it so easy to love your son. You are such a wonderful person and I am so lucky to have you in my life. I love you!

Also some other special ladies that I admire are Amber and Elessa who are great mothers, and great examples. Tacey-don't know how you do it, but you always put your kids first and I love that! Lonni-Crack that Whip! You kill me, but you are great. Marissa, you are amazing-I love how you make sure what you do is always the best that you can. Jamers for all that you are learning so quickly. Katie and Ash-you are both fantastic and I have seen you in action. All of the other mothers out there-You are great too, and I am sure I have forgotten someone that I really look up to-but realize that it wasn't intentional.

Also I got this baby back yesterday and I am so happy. Plus with a new Jewel Lullaby CD for me and Grace-We are very happy!

Fun Weekend!

So I headed down to Wayne County this weekend to visit my family. I had a pretty good time. We did the Wellness Works/Powerplant event for the weekend. Amber and Kyle ran the 10k. Kyle won-Way to go!
Elessa and I walked the 2 mile. We totally finished before Kyle and Amber-We Rock (so what if they went four miles more than us) It was actually a pretty chilly day-but we had a lot of fun. My Dad even ventured out with us to watch. He is always so supportive even when he isn't feeling well. Thanks Dado!
We all took home these lovely ribbons. Kyle and I are the only ones that know what Blue feels like-just remember that Amber and Pete! (not really sure how we got these, but it is funny anyway!-Well Kyle I know how he got his-by winning, I guess the others were age group categories or something like that.)
We watched the Kentucky Derby later that afternoon. I lost all of my bets, but I thought it was so great to see the underdog come through. What an awesome race! I still want to go one day, dress up, wear a big hat, and drink the mint drinks. It would be so much fun!
We went to my grandparents house later that evening. My Grandpa wanted to play catch so badly with Miles. He kept trying to get him to throw the ball to him. He was down on the floor for a while playing with him. It took him a while of teasing, where Miles through it to Elessa instead, but he finally came around and played for a minute. They are so cute!
Miles loves my Grandma and apparently plays with that Gord that she is holding. It is his favorite toy at her house. They are so cute. He just loves being with her-he lights up!

We watched the fight later that evening. I can't believe it was over so quickly. I got to see my Uncle Michael and Tyler who came in from Texas. It was good times.
