Food and Fingers!

No I am not flipping you off in this picture, although maybe I should be! But I broke my middle finger and I thought I would share the image. I don't know what is going on here, but for some reason, this year, I just keep breaking things, and then not knowing it. I was plkaying football with Art last week. I jammed two finders (or so I thought). One of them, which I thought was originally worse is now better but the other once, was hurting worse and still really swollen, so I went to the Dr. and sure enough it is broken, chipped right in the middle joint. This comes right after I was complaining that obviously I am not flipping people off, or using my middle finger enough because the fingernail polish is never chipped, so I guess this is to show me.
Also mom I thought you would enjoy these, Like mother like daughter. I think you have a similar drawer to this at your office. I just finished the hot tamales or they would be there too. At least there are some healthy things in the fridge. This is how I get through my day. Love ya Mom!

I've Been Tagged!

Okay Sarah, so I am doing my best. How about this is the first picture on my camera with a number 4 in the description!
This is my dad and I wearing Superman Hats that Mary Made. This was at Gabe's Birthday Party I think. Later that week we went to dinner at Morelia's where Larry Miller was eating. He comented on the hat that my dad was wearing (the striking one above) so my dad gave him the hat. Really funny! Anyways I am supposed to tag people to put the fourth picture from their fourth album on their blog-whatever that means-obviously I broke the rules. So I guess I tag Lonni (who should already be doing it thanks to Sarah), Tacey-Good Luck! Well and that is pretty much everyone who reads my blog -who actually have a blog themselves (Huge Population I am reaching I know!) So I guess I will just add two more imaginary friends so I have good luck, lets go with Tony from The Shining (I am only halfway through, so that may be a bad thing) and Santa-he's imaginary right-but no way can he be bad! (I guess I tag my sisters to start a blog-I wanna see my kids more!!)

SlaP mY FaCe!

Yesterday I was the person I never wanted to ever be. I was helping with the dreaded test at the High school. Watching all of the students stressing out wondering if they were going to get their high school diploma or not. Their Future hanging the answers they were giving with the broken and chewed on pencils they borrowed from the students before them (yes, this is the reality). I had the honorable role of watching to see if the students were cheating, talking, using electronic devices etc. I noted a young man across the room that sat eyes wandering and then making comments to his friend, then quickly turning to write on his paper. He was the student with the baggy pants and the boxers hanging over the top. The kind that always get in trouble for having their "colors" hanging out of the back pocket of their jeans. The kind that just look like they don't care, and that is what I saw. I had in my mind the next time her reached around the cardboard divider to talk to his friend I was going to go and move him. A few seconds later as I walked by again, I was amazed to see the young boy picking up his work because he had completed the test. He told his friend to hurry, to which his friend replied "you shouldn't be that smart and we would just get done at the same time." I couldn't believe it. I work with these kids, and try so hard not to jump to conclusions, but this time I was wrong. I was glad I didn't act upon my thoughts and cause him any problems. Although in his world, it may have added to his "credibility" but would have made him loose respect for me and the school. See-Slap My face-how dare I judge!
Then there are the others, the ones that really behave like punks, fail in school, if they even show and are consistently in trouble. I go out on a limb for them and all they do is block my calls to their parents (answering and then telling me I can't talk to them), tear up my letters to their parents, and continue to fail. I guess sometimes you just loose!
