Little Kids Parade and Fireworks

We took the kids to participate in the Little Kids Parade in Magna. They had so much fun and were so cute. And Pete pulled-while I gave them pop-it's to throw.
They took a break from the waving to sippy for a minute.
But they did a lot of waving and laughing too-They are natural "paraders" and crowd pleasers. They had otter pops for them at the finish (which was very welcome because it was super hot)And because they are so cute-they won (1 or only 3 prizes) given out for most patriotic. They got glow in the dark sidewalk chalk-for tomorrow!
We came back to the house for a little bbq where the kids played a lot.
Grace figured out how to use the doggy door.
And spent some much needed aunt petey time.
We then did some fireworks at our house. The neighbors had some really big ones that scared Grace+she was tired, so it didn't work very well. We will try again another night. Miles loved them though.
The kids did like sparklers. Miles was very serious about it.
Grace was a little scared at first, but after she saw Miles, she tried it. and liked it-until the other fireworks went and she was too scared. It was so much fun though and I have so many great memories of fireworks with my family growing up-even the small ones in the road-they are my favorite!!
Here is uncle Michael lighting them and holding a super big sparkler.
So fun to spend time with Family!
