Colors

Grace loves to Color. I know I am her mother and probably a little partial, but I think she is very good at it. She is barely two and look at how great she did at coloring these stars. I think she is pretty close to the lines. Artistic talent doesn't run through our family, so this is a huge success. She loves doing anything crafty and artistic. At school they think she is pretty good too. She presses hard enough you can see it to. I love it!

Except when she does this. Our very first coloring on the walls. She came to tell me (while I was in the shower) how good she had colored and was so proud. I got out excited to see it and this is what I saw.
My first reaction was to yell at her, to which she responded like this. Shortly though I realized, she was proud of this and thought she was doing well, so I had to apologize and teach her the appropriate places to color instead. We then cleaned them up together and it was no big deal. Deep inside I was laughing and really quite enjoyed the whole process. They were very cute and she walked around as we were cleaning showing me all of them (even some I didn't see) and telling me what they were. What a little darling. I just love her!

Santa

We went to Michele's Work Christmas Party on Saturday. She was so funny. She was really excited to see Santa, but wouldn't sit on his lap. When he asked her what she wanted, she said "Bring me my presents". He laughed and asked what she wanted in the presents, she said "the presents" She made me laugh really hard.
She was still a little afraid of the grinch this year, but gave him five and talked about him the rest of the day. She danced and played and had a lot of fun. When we came home she wanted to practice making cookies for Santa. ( love how they are stacked, all of the rows have two but one has one and one has 7.)She also wanted to write a letter to Santa. So here is her first letter as told to her Mommy to write:
Dear Santa,
For Christmas can you please bring me my presents. I was good this year. I would like a choo choo train, candy, a a baby sisters. I will have cookies ready for you.
Thank you Santa,
Love, GraceI had a couple of my favorite Christmas toys put away from when I was about her age. I got them out last night and gave them to her. She loved them and slept with them all night. They were her Santa's She was so cute and I decided she was for sure ready for them. She is really into the whole Santa thing this year. She knows all about the Chimney, and that he brings presents. She knows she has to be good. We read stories and watch movies and it has really made the holidays fun! Can't wait to see her on Christmas.

Some Fun

We have had a very busy, but very fun couple of weeks. We had some of our very favorite visitors come to stay. Pie and I invited ourselves out with Mike and Pete for their anniversary dinner (yep, we are those people) at the old spaghetti factory. It was fun and too bad that Art was sick. silly kids!
Miss Finnlee after her bath.
I love her wild hair.
Grace is also very funny at practice. She really likes to go and she makes me laugh because she tells the girls what to do and then runs with them (gets in the way) but they love her!

Faces of Pie

Pie broke her piggy bank yesterday. She was very sad. She was just wanting to put in "piggy money" Well we'll have to get her a new one. We have had discussions about emotions lately and she surely showed her "sad face yesterday when it broke. This is her sad face. This is her Happy face-my favorite of course. This is her mad face. This is her funny face. This is her sassy face. She is saying "no" (she does this sometimes and ends up in time out. That night she put her baby in time out for being "sassy" she sat on the opposite end of the tub and didn't look at her. I laughed because I knew that was an impression of me) This is her "mommy's sassy face" hmmm...
Love this girl and everyone of her faces!

Basketball

Basketball season is back in session. Grace is in her prime, telling the girls what to do, dressing up and just enjoying herself. It is a lot of fun!And the girls love her!

Christmas Tree

We went and got our Christmas Tree over the weekend. We are so busy this year, so we went to a lot to get one. Grace had a lot of fun running around and picking one. (we knew it was the one when she hugged it)
She also had a lot of fun decorating it.
All of the snowmen went together in one spot and her caillou doll is on the tree.
She was very proud of it. and hugged it a few times. So cute!
