Happy 13 Tori!

Tori turned 13 and we got to spend her birthday with her. We gave her a kindle. I had some cute pictures, but lost them when we got a virus on our computer and I lost a lot of things. However, I do have some cute ones here of the evening! She got an ice cream cake. Grace enjoyed it as much as Tori (so did I-yummy!)We took a few pictures!
Grace took the camera for a minute and took some pictures too!
We are so happy that we got to spend the day with Tori. Happy 13th!

Letter from Santa

Grace got a letter back from Santa today in the mail. We know it was from him because it came from the North Pole.
Here is her letter. She was very excited about it!
Each one of us got a chance to read a little.
She hung it on the wall abover her bed because she was so proud. Thank you Santa for making her day and remembering to write her this year!
The letter said:

Dear Grace:

I was so happy to get your letter this year. You have grown up so much since last year and I have enjoyed very much hearing about all of the many things that you have done. I have heard that you have been very good to your mom and dad this year and have been very helpful around the house. I am so proud of you for going potty in the toilet and for sleeping in your own bed all night long. Those are very big things to do. I love hearing how you make people laugh and how you like to sing around the house. I did get your list and I am very excited to try and bring you some of the gifts that you want. Presents are my specialty so I hope I can find some things that will make you happy. My elves have been working very hard this year to bring you a very special present. Choo Choo trains are one of my very favorite things and I would love to share one of mine with you, but oh I am getting ahead of myself and giving away surprises. I also love Candy as you can see, Mrs. Claus, makes plenty around our house. As for the baby sister, that isn’t something that Santa can bring but I will send lots of blessings to your house in hopes that one will arrive someday. Maybe we can think about a baby doll instead. Grace you are such a joy
and blessing. I feel very lucky to be able to bring gifts to such a sweet lady, and very much appreciate that you wanted to write me a letter this year. I will find something special that will make you happy on Christmas I am sure. You are very loved Grace Boxall. Merry Christmas and always remember to be kind and good, so I can again visit your home next year.

Sincerely,
Santa

P.S. This is Mrs. Claus and I wanted to write on your letter too. You are such a special lady and I am going to find something special for you just from me. What a good little girl you are and so very loved. Merry Christmas Angel!

Sledding with the Shockleys

We went sledding yesterday with the Shockleys. It was so much. Cute little ladies!
Shaye being pulled back to the car.
Dad and Grace coming down the hill. He had to cover her face because the snow was getting into it.
Art coming down!Making snow Angels.
Getting pulled by Daddy!
Tori sledding down the hill!

Christmas Cheer

My Christmas Spirit has been a little like this: Or this-this year: (nothing like a cheek for a pillow right?)
But it has been a long busy year and there are reasons for the difficulty in excitement. Grace absolutely makes it better with her excitement and joy which makes me happy, I just need a little bost I guess. So I have been doing a lot more singing, for in the words of elf: "The best way to spread christmas cheer is to sing out loud for all to hear." Well Grace tells me to stop singing every day, expect for when she sings with me and tells me she is happy (oh that makes me very cheerful!) But we have found her favorite christmas song during these times and it just so happens to be "I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus!"
As times goes though and we get closer to the holiday I am feeling a bit more cheery. I am excited to see her cute little face on Christmas and to see my family, but I surely hope the holiday will not be too busy. So-To Christmas! and spreading cheer anyway-even when people tell you not to!

Ellett family Christmas Party

We had our annual Ellet family christmas party this year. We went to famous Dave's for lunch. We had a lot of fun!Grace and I!
Pie with her Papa and Grandma Dark! (yep thats what she calls them)
It was fun to have all of us up there together!

Christmas with the Boxalls

Tori is in town and Grace is so excited. She was so happy when she got here. She had to try on all of sissy's things.
Beautiful Girls!
Then Grandma and Grandpa came. We did Christmas with them so they could be here. They gave Grace a train set and she was over the top excited!
She played for hours (and still does every day)

Sissy got some amazing perfume-very excited about it!
Tori made Grace this cute doll bed, blanket, and pillow. She loves it!
Grandma Walker gave us this very neat piece for our mantle. It is the three wise men with the nativity story in their gowns AMAZING! I love it! I got spoiled with an ipod touch and Art got a shopping trip/gift card. It was very fun and we loved seeing them.
Grandkids with their grandparents!

Visiting Santa

Santa came to Grace's Day Care today. She had so much fun and ran right up to him. She told him she wanted presents.
After all of the kids were done, she went back to him and showed him all of the toys he gave her today. She said thank you a lot and I was very proud of her. She is just such a cute little lady. She makes the holiday season so much fun!
