Sun Valley 2012

We had a great trip to Sun Valley this year.  I love going there, spending time with family and just relaxing.  It was a long drive up with a few stops and late starts, but we got to experience a super creepy gas station (because pregnant me, just couldn't hold it) where there were alpacas, signs about baby rattle snakes and bats.  It was super creepy, but Grace liked the lamas and fed them before we left.

Our annual goody prize bags for the weekend.
The kiddos did a lot of swimming.  They loved and were all so brave!

Grace had so much fun playing with her cousins.

We did bubbles on the lawn outside of our room.

And had delicious popcorn movie parties.
Grace being silly, but looking oh so cute for dinner.  She picked out this kitty at the store with her money and carried it around all weekend long.

We did bike rides, and walks, and races down the hill from the shops.

Papa even took Tori ice skating and Grace popped over for a trip around the rink as well.
 More swimming fun!

We took a bus ride into town.

And a nap as we walked around.
We found a butterfly that I think had a broken wing, but the kids played with it for a minute and were very gentle.

 We went fishing.

Tori caught the most and best fish.

Grace and I reeled in this super small one with orange on it, but it was fun!

We tried to fly kites again this year, but really couldn't get them to go.

But it was a lot of fun!
More bike riding around the grounds.

We went to the Firefighter appreciation days.
 Grace loved pretending to drive.

We waited to watch the helicopter land.

Grace loved it more than anyone else.

 The entire crew.
 We played lots of tag.

 And did some sparklers.

The kids fixed a few things.

And we overall just had a great time as a family. Art made tri tip steak one night and spaghetti the next. We went out for pizza one night, and enjoyed being together. I am so grateful for our time every year in Sun Valley as a family.  I miss it already!
