Today was the Easter Celebration in Daycare. Grace got dressed up in her cute Easter outfit and was excited to be able to go on an egg hunt. I thought she looked so cute I had to grab these pictures before school. We stopped to see Daddy on our way into work, so Grace did a little hiding and scaring. Then at school they did an Easter Egg Hunt. Grace actually got it this year and got the most eggs. She was so cute-but not rude or pushy either. I was very proud of her. This is her entire class. Such a cute gal! Finally a smile! We can't wait for Easter with our family. It will be so fun!
Mimi and Grandma Great came to stay at our house last night. We had a lot of fun. Grace loved showing off and was so excited to have them there.
She loved playing with Grandma Great and giving lots of hugs and kisses. She loved cuddling with Mimi and didn't want them to go. It was great to have them there, even if it was only for a night. My grandma was so funny and she made me realize just how wasteful we are sometimes. When I gave them paper towels for a napkin with their dinner, she tore off and used only a small portion. She wouldn't drink water from a bottle, but asked me to get her a cup. She finished every last peace of food and drink that she had. It made me really think I need to be more careful, and that we truly could live on a lot less. It was fun to have them at my house and I loved seeing them both. They are now in Florida visiting my uncle Tom.
Grace insisted it was her birthday yesterday. All day long, fromt he time she woke up she was saying it. She told me to invite all her family to a party. I continued to tell her it wasn't her birthday and that she could invite them to her party in September. But we decided to go ahead and do a cake and candles, because that is what she really wanted anyway. She helped me make the cake. And put the icing on. She choose a winnie the pooh cake. She probably ate more than she iced. When she just couldn't get enough from the butter knife. Then she just resorted to using her hands. She was so delighted. I am so glad we did this. She had so much fun, felt special, and was so happy! We blew out the candles a good eight times. We had to call aunt pete and aunt toadie so that they could each have a chance to sing to her. I love that she encourages me to do these fun things. She makes me a better person. Of course we also had to do it one more time when Daddy got home.
She thought it was so great!Happy Un-Birthday Pie!
We just have so much fun together. Last night, Grace was being a super hero with her dad.She would say-"Follow me" and he/we would have to go and do whatever she did. I threw up the troll bridge and this is her shocked face. She was more into beating people than saving them. Not sure what kind of a super hero that is. She would try to beat her way past the troll, but she always had to do what I asked to get by. Being silly with a basket for a hat. We also played outside for a while and it was a lot of fun. This is her (I don't want you to take my picture anymore face.)She looked so cute today at school that I had to get a coupld of pictures.
Papa and Grandma Box came for the a night this weekend. They brought Grace this cute Easter doll. And a Darling new outfitShe actually let me take a couple of pictures. This puppet came with her doll. She is so silly sometimes. She loved to see them and was so worried about "my family" being there that she didn't want to go to sleep. She thought for sure she would miss something. She really needs to be around family more. We miss seeing everyone a lot! On Sunday after they left, I went to meet my mom, Elessa, Amber and Jamie to watch the movie Hunger Games. Which was really good and we had a great time!
