Art's Graduation

Art Graduated from Police Academy last week. We were so proud of him. It was a terribly difficult time with the recent passing of my mother, but she was so excited to go and support him, that we had to make sure that we too went. Art was selected by his classmates to speak and his talk was amazing. He dedicated his certification to my mother. I cried and was so proud at the same time.

 Coloring with Grandma.
 Giving their oath.

Grace cried because she wanted her daddy to hold her.  She did look really cute-but this face was super naughty!
Art's parents came down and his uncle Rusty and Aunt Karen.
Elessa and Michael came as well.
Art speaking.  (His uncle Rusty was allowed to give him his certificate because he is a retired officer)
 The entire class.
Grace was so proud of her Daddy!

Art's family-even his brother Michael made it!
My dad and Mary came up too.
It was a really good day. We are so very proud of him!

We then went back and stayed at a hotel as a group.  Grace played in the boxes.
We all ate dinner in the lobby.  We had Olive Garden Salads and Pie Pizza.  It was really fun!

We also got to do some swimming.
Art opened a few cards.  This is one from Grace and I.  We couldn't find one we really liked, so Grace picked this birthday card with dogs on it.  We adapted it to the occasion.  She was so proud of it.
Grace and Grandma Mary played Chase for a while.
It really was a great night and we are so very proud of Art.  (and thankful he is finished too!-we miss him when he was at school!)
