We went to Wayne County for the fair this weekend. We love to go. Grace gets very excited about seeing her cousins and doing lots of fun things. So here she is getting super silly and ready to go down
And here she is getting prepared for the kids rodeo. I was trying to get her dressed, but she was just too busy riding her horse. I thought it was cute even if she isn't wearing any clothes.
She did a little roping.
And the stick horse race. She actually was the fastest in her age group. One kid made it here before her, but we found out he was four, so she actually won. She said she did anyway so it really didn't matter. The only thing she felt bad about is that she didn't get the ribbon to break (but it really wasn't going to happen for any of the little ones)
Leah chose not to run.
Then she rode a sheep again. This time her dad got to put her on and pull her off. She really liked it again and wanted to go one more time. She kept telling everyone how brave she was. I love it!
Then they chased the animals. Grace really wanted to catch a chicken and got really close. She just wasn't able to grab it and the bigger kids came and caught it before her. It made her sad, but I loved watching her run. Grandma Great came to watch her do all of her activities too, which was very nice and it was fun to see her.
Aunt Pete made her a cute little super pie cape. Grace picked out the colors and loved wearing it around.
She and Miles even played for a while and wore it to the parade the next morning.
They got head bands that they called "silly hair"
Cute little Finlee playing in the road.
They got a ton of candy and prizes and had so much fun!
They both even jumped on with Grandma halfway through. Grace loved being the parade. She thought it was so cool waving and throwing out sticks for free baby ice cream cones.
Dan and Jeanette walked in the parade and did some square dancing. They were pretty funny.
We put a few of my moms hats into the fair arts and crafts competition. She got blue ribbons on all of them.
and won the entire category with this one. She would have been mad that we put them in, but so proud that they did so well. She really was very amazing at making hats. I am so proud of her and glad that we have so many of her amazing projects for us and the kids.
We went to the park for a minute, before I got too hot. The kids did the fish pond. Got balloon swords, and even a couple of African Dwarf Frogs that Pie has named: Jaka and Baka. Silly kids. It was such a fun time and we loved seeing family and enjoying the events.
